Carpe Diem

It was a little hard for me to get a second #motivation Monday post in today because I was at the office most of the day. But as I sit here watching the #steelers play #MNF I reflect on the day. Another crazy and tragic event in our nations' capital. I suppose it is a little harder to be motivating in such despair. So with that, I figure, I would post one of my favorite sayings, #carpediem. Do you know what that means? Seize the day!

This is what the google definition says "used to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future." When tragedy strikes, we can choose to look at the negative and the sadness of it all or we can choose to live in the present and in the RIGHT NOW. So with that said friends and followers, enjoy the rest of your day and I will see you tomorrow : )

Motivation Monday on Sunday night

A little preview to Motivation Monday:
So I am posting on my Fit to Be Fit Facebook Fan page tomorrow about slacking. I thought it was only fitting that, that meant I better get back on the wagon here with my blog.
So, though slacking in the world of fitness isn't ideal...it is a fact of life. We all do it. We all fall of the wagon at some point. We all need a little motivation and sometimes a little more than that. We need a little kick in the "you know what".

What do you do when you get into a slump? Do you let it take over? How long does it last? Do you try to get out of it right away or do you wallow in it for a little while? Do you just go through the motions when you are trying to "get back at it"?

I know that for me, I need something major to happen, an eye opening experience so to speak, an AH HA moment. I need the self - reflection to kick in and be my own worst enemy, and put the tough love smack down on myself.

So instead of just going through the motions today (Monday)...let's get excited! Let's get a move on!
Even if you don't love your job, or your current outlook on your life in the terms of fitness, health or wellness...today I want you to make the CONSCIOUS decision to do something different. Even if it is just one small thing. One small gesture at your desk that you do different, to change "the motions".
Maybe it is buying some neon colored post - it notes or some new pens or maybe it is just saying hello to someone who you normally don't say hello to. Small changes = BIG results in every aspect of our lives. Thanks for being patient with me as I haven't been consistent with my blog posts and thanks for understanding that I am human too!

Let's kick this week's butt!
