So…Thanks to everyone for being patient with my responses to
all your Beachbody related questions and concerns. I have been in the process
of traveling from Colorado to Florida via car for our move back here.
Longest.Drive.Ever! Being 7 months pregnant and sitting for that long in the
car is not the most exciting or comfortable situation ever. I am glad we
stopped a lot and I could stretch and rest etc. but man o man, I knew there was
a reason Planes were invented! While driving I managed to sign up a new coach
to the team who started as a customer (as most new coaches do). He lives all
the way in Japan, stationed there with the military! I am so excited to welcome
him to the team!
Also during the move I found out some pretty crazy news….My
coach, Katy Ursta who I graduated high school with and started me on this great
journey with Beachbody told the world via Facebook and by pixie cutting her
hair that she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is a young mother
of 2, wife, sister, star diamond beachbody coach, teacher, friend and mentor. She
is NOT a victim and will beat this horrible disease!
The thing is, that I am sure everyone reading this knows
someone who’s had cancer, because it is becoming that much more common. I just
haven’t ever known anyone this young who had it. My dad passed away in November
of metastasized cancer throughout his body. I guess I have always thought of
cancer as a disease that you get later in life, not your 30s. I know her
outlook, lifestyle and support system will get her through this. Take a minute
to look at her blog post and share with your friends.
As a part of her team, we are going to have a lot of ways to
support her and her family. I may be a few states away but I will be cheering
her on from here! #MotivationMonday has a whole new meaning!
