Motivation Monday!
Today on this beautiful (because the sun is out and it isn't -10 out) #motivationMonday I am dying to know one thing...what would you do if you knew that without a doubt in your mind that you absolutely could NOT fail?I know it is a scary feeling for sure but just think about it. Dig deep. Listen to that whisper in your soul!
Would you try to learn a new language? Would you go for that promotion at work or switch careers all together? Would you lose 100 pounds or 20? Would you forgive someone that you've had a grudge against for a long time? I would love to hear your comments on the matter. #heatherweiner #fittobefit #fitfam #inspire #lovelife #payitforward #liveyourbestlife

Obesity and Skinny Jeans
Hi there blog world, how are you on this fine Thursday afternoon? I saw this e-card on Facebook posted by another Beachbody Coach and I just had to share it with you. Anyone who knows me, knows I love e cards and this one is just too funny not to share.
I know I personally love skinny jeans because they work so nicely with boots. Here in CO, skinny jeans and boots are pretty much a staple in a woman's closet. You know what isn't......a muffin top!!! Want to get rid of it? Want to join other people just like you trying to end the trend of obesity and get fit and healthy while changing their lives? Ask me how! I would love to add you to the upcoming challenge groups, either 8/12 or 9/1. Let's get you started. Add me on Facebook, check out my fan page there, send me a message..however you've got to get a hold of me so that we can get you on the path to success. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a great night.

Dig Deep, Be the Bigger Person, Self Reflection, Haters WILL Hate......
Ok, tonight's post is a little "deeper" if you will or some might call it introspective I suppose but I just feel like this needs to be said. Whether anyone actually reads this, comments, has an opinion or what, I feel like I need to take the high road here.
Sometimes things come full circle, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes people grow and learn and evolve and sometimes they don't. In fact in one of my earlier posts about personal development, I have said that learning is uncomfortable and it should be. That's how you know you are learning and growing in changing. That is also how I knew I had to write this post, even though it was uncomfortable. You might be saying, "ya ya Heather get to the point" sorry I am just thinking this whole thing out.
So today on my Coach page on FB I was posting videos and inspirational things for my coaches. I had a great call with my direct upline coach Katy and another with a coach on my downline Allison. I felt like I was positive all day and made a positive impact in other people's lives today. So, all in all, today was a good day. And then...
And then what? Well some negative comments were posted on FB by a "friend" (term used loosely) about "us beachbody people" being on drugs or something like that and how we are "like a religious cult". I took the low road and commented on this post and then proceeded to get into a minor feud with this individual on FB.
The thing is that when you are passionate about something, when you feel so strongly about a product or service or even religion for some, you want to "spread the word" so to speak and SHARE it with others. I know at the beginning of my coaching journey in December I wanted to shout it from the rooftops but I've learned to not "verbal vomit" on people now : ) .
I am not perfect. I am learning and growing and discovering new things during this journey of mine. I am a coach and by coaching others I am keeping myself accountable. I fall off the wagon. I am a real person. I am not a product of an infomercial. I have flaws. I influence and inspire others. I help others on their own journeys and I feel great about that. I love getting messages from people who are thankful for my help or inspired by me. It keeps me going.
So that's just it. I love Beachbody products. I love the workouts. I love Shakeology. I love sharing it with others.
I hate that others are intimidated by it. I hate that they "HATE" on it. I hate that they haven't tried it and have an opinion. (or so they think). I also hate that I stooped to the level of those people and was negative along with them.
I am often the bigger person and just keep on keeping on but I wasn't this time and I let it "get" to me. It isn't worth it. It isn't worth getting upset over or defending the products that I know work and that I know have changed so many people's lives. It changed MINE. Look at my before and after photos.
In closing, I thought I would copy my coach Katy's FB post from tonight. It is what made me realize that coming full circle really is possible. We all did it. Katy, Kirsten and I weren't friends in high school but we are friends now and coach together and for that I am thankful.
My Coach, Katy Ursta's FB post tonight
I had an amazing conversation with my coach Heather Lynn Weiner
about how strange and wonderful it’s been to reconnect with people that
I never in a million years would guess could come back into my life.
When I was in high school, I spent a lot of time passing judgments and
making assumptions about people I really didn’t know. One such person
was Kirsten Nuss . The only thing I thought we had in common was Carla Sloan,
a shared best friend. I spent a lot of time creating perceptions of
who I thought she was, and as far as I was concerned my perception was
the only reality.
Flash forward 11 years after graduation and I
have been blessed to get to know Kirsten. Honestly, she is one of the
kindest, most caring people I’ve ever had the opportunity to know. She
is so passionate about her career and her coaching. I’ve seen her
embrace so many wonderful opportunities through Beachbody this year:
challenge groups, fit clubs, coaching, tough mudders, coach summit…
So why am I telling you this? I think that so often we make
assumptions about people without ever taking the time to get to know
them. We pass judgment without ever bothering to ask questions. Yes, I
am a Beachbody coach. Yes, I am super passionate about the fact that
the challenge groups helped me get into the best shape of my life and
helped my husband lose 35 pounds. Yes, I truly think that it’s changed
me into a more positive, patient and understanding person. Yes,
financially being a coach has awarded us a lot of freedom we didn’t
think possible! Why wouldn’t I want to pay that forward? Why wouldn’t I
want to offer that chance to other people? Perhaps, instead of
creating your perception of what Beachbody is and what we stand for as a
company, you should just ask. Who knows- you may like what you
perceive.

The BIG 3-0 Birthday!
Hi there blog followers! Sorry I haven't posted in a week but we were enjoying our belated honeymoon (only 2.5 years later) in Mexico so I was off the radar! Yesterday was also my 30th birthday so I am finally getting caught up on all the love from facebook and Instagram from being out of town and birthday wishes. How was everyone's 4th of July? Needless to say we didn't see any fireworks in Mexico but it was a much needed relaxing vacation. I had the best birthday a girl could ask for, I got new workout gear, a heart rate monitor, flowers, a beautiful orchid and a NEW JEEP!
Well..I must admit the Jeep wasn't a birthday present, we've been looking for an SUV for a while but we just so happened to get it on my birthday. I am very blessed and grateful to have such a nice vehicle. I would love to hear what those of you who read my blog would be interested in reading about this week? What interests you? What do you need support with? Let me know! Thanks for all the love!

Fulfillment Friday - AKA Personal Development
As you all know I have been reading The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and have been trying to apply these principles to my daily life. The one thing that really stands out to me in this book is " What is easy to do, is also easy NOT to do". Today I had the distinct pleasure of being a guest at the Colorado Springs BBB Small Business Week Awards Luncheon. Their guest speaker was Weldon Long. A gentleman that before today, I knew nothing about. He has an amazing story.
Incarcerated for 13 years until the age of 39 with a 9th grade education, he decided while in prison to change his course of thinking and start living his dreams and aspirations that he had written down in his mind until he got out and could fully go after them. He talked today about how when you continually think positive things and live those future goals as if they are in the present, you will attract those things to you. This aligns itself with my personal philosophy of the law of attraction but also with what Jeff Olson says in The Slight Edge. Weldon talked today about how our "box" or our minds are filled up with the ideas and beliefs of others and it gets crowded with junk. When we can fill our box with positive notions and ideas of our own, we will reap the benefits of that. What goes in the box, eventually comes out of the box.

It is amazing to see the result of what small changes over time can be. This man who had every reason to believe that he'd amount to nothing, made the CHOICE to change his thinking and do small things daily that would eventually change his life. He chose to do whatever it took, every day, to get there. Once I read the books I will be sure to blog about him again.
I am excited to read his books after the others that I have in line in front of it! If you are looking for a good personal development book, pick up his book, "The Power of Consistency" and
The Upside of Fear. As I have said, I haven't yet read them, but after listening to this powerful speaker today, I will be sure to pick them up.

Know your WHY!
Today I have really been thinking about something "deep". As a Beachbody coach, I am always talking about knowing your "why" and sometimes people don't know what that means. So, here I am to explain it to you and tell you all about MY WHY!
So everyone is going to have a different definition of what their "why" might be. It might be that you want to lose those extra 5 pounds before your wedding or a friend's wedding, or that you want to be able to keep up with your kids better and run around with them, or maybe that you want to get back into your one size smaller jeans....Any of this sound familiar? Maybe you just want to feel better in your own skin? That was me. That is my why. I wanted to match my outward appearance to the person that I know is inside of me. I wanted to show everyone that the person I am inside who is loving and caring and giving, supportive, encouraging and a good friend and now...a good COACH. So, I set off on my fitness journey to match those two things up. And now, I am on a bigger journey with no end in sight, to help as many people that I can on their own journeys. I won't say that I am done working on ME because I still have a ways to go, but I feel better about me now. I feel like the inside ME, matches the outside...better. Reading personal development books like The Slight Edge keep the inside ME on track and doing the workouts and drinking Shakeology, keep the outside ME on track.
One thing to note is, coaches fall off the wagon too! We aren't perfect! Sometimes we have to start back at the beginning, the basics to ground ourselves again. I know for me as soon as I saw the # on the scale go down I felt a little invincible and like my journey was over and I could NOW, FINALLY eat and drink whatever I wanted...... UMMMMMMM NOT. THE. CASE. That my friends is called LAZINESS! So what do we do? What should you do? You GET. UP. and GET. MOVING. that is what you do. You stop making excuses, you confront your demons. You WORKOUT. Because that is how progress is made.
Because one bad meal won't make you fat, and one good one won't make you skinny. Same goes with working out, skipping one won't put you back where you started but compounded over a few days, weeks, months...You better believe it will! So.... thanks for reading my blog as always and feel free to leave me some love, some comments etc. Have a great night!

Wild Fire Tees
Hello Blog World: Sorry I have been MIA this last week but it has been a little crazy here in CO! I promise to get back to the blogging at least 4 times this week! I was having a hard time focusing on my workouts and eating clean when all this is happening here but today, I am back on the wagon! I am drinking my Shakeology now and have my lunch packed and ready to go with snacks for the day! I will get my workout in this afternoon when I get home. Do you ever fall off the wagon? What is your weakness that you have a hard time saying no to? I swear it is like a snowball effect, once you start with something bad to eat, everything else goes with it, including your workouts! Let's all start this week with renewed energy and positivity! I wanted to so something for the victims of the wildfire and still haven't figured out what I want to do individually but here is a link to wild fire tee shirts

Learning is uncomfortable.....
After powering through seven chapters of The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson in one night, I figured that this picture was appropriate for today. Creating a life that feels good on the inside is just as important as working on your body to make it look good on the outside. Jeff talks in his book about how if you do one small thing each day to better your life, the compound effect is going to equal the big end result which is what we are all trying to work towards.
People who know me know that I love to read and I do read fast, I read seven chapters in one day but it's because I want to immerse myself in the concept. I love the hard copies of books because I can highlight and write notes in the margin. I have a Kindle and I still use it but for this kind of personal development I really felt like I needed the paperback.
One of my favorite quotes so far in the book is, "Often, in the beginning, the success path can be uncomfortable, even scary."
This quote in particular is one of my favorites because it reminds me of one of my favorite professors in college Dr. Stein. She always told us that learning is uncomfortable and it should be. When you're changing and your brain is developing it's just like any other muscle in your body that is tearing and repairing and re constructing. Learning should be uncomfortable because that's how you know you're learning. It makes you aware of the situation.
If we all just went along, day to day, never feeling uncomfortable then we are just a bunch of drones, living unexciting, dull lives that are meaningless.
By feeling uncomfortable we acknowledge the process. We recognize that there truly is more out there to discover and that this journey we call life can continue to be exciting and new and adventurous as long as we feel uncomfortable! Have a great Thursday!

Personal Developmenet
Look what came in the mail yesterday! If the leaders in the company and on
my team have read, recommended and reference this book often, they must
have done it for a reason!I started reading this last night and can't put it down! I am on chapter 4 already!
When on a journey to change ourselves we must do it from the
inside out. How can we ever expect changes in our environment, bodies
and life if we aren't pushing them past their abilities then we are
letting ourselves be stagnant! DON'T BE STAGNANT! Go against the grain,
work your muscles! (To include but not limit, YOUR BRAIN!)
