Hello out there in Blog land: I am sorry I haven't been
around for a few days as it has been a crazy, whirlwind weekend (pictures to
follow). I am also posting my first recipe tonight as well. We made this Barcelona Chicken and it was amazing! My husband has this Grill Cook Book and since the weather is warm and the veggies are ripe, it is Grill Time! Let me know if you try the recipe. I absolutely loved it!
OK, SOOOooooooo Why was I so busy this weekend? Well my friends and I ran the Color Me Rad 5K on Saturday and it was awesome! And really, to be honest, we walked most of it but it was a hell of a walk! I still got a great workout and it was a really fun time! I encourage you if you are interested in starting to run (since I am trying to hate it LESS...if you've read my previous posts), to find runs that have a theme or obstacles or something FUN, other than running as the main focus. This will help you get off the couch and get moving at least. I know a lot of people use the couch to 5k training module to get going too. I haven't used it personally but it looks like a great way to start. If you use it, leave me a comment, I would love to know how it has worked for you! Here are some fun pictures from the race!
Also, some other BIG news in my fitness journey! My belt has become increasingly too big and I have had to add several holes to it.....well....finally this weekend I had to cut the end off because it was flapping in the wind and making me CRAZY! Check out these pics!
