Today's post is about commitment! When we get married or are in a serious relationship, we nurture it and work through things that are hard or stressful and usually we don't want to do it. This is equally related to fitness. When you don't want to workout or you are tempted by all of the foods out there that we know we shouldn't eat, remember that you've committed to this new lifestyle in the same way you would commit your life to someone else. You've made the conscious decision to commit, to yourself, and to the program. It's not always easy, there will be challenges! But....if it was easy wouldn't all of America be fit? All we can do is encourage others to lead a better lifestyle than they are now and to make conscious choices in what they eat which in turn will equal BIG results!
I'd also like to take a minute in this post to recognize one of my current challengers, Kristin Trumpie! She is a prime example of what I was just talking about above! She sent me an email today that truly touched my heart! This is what she wrote:
I know that everyone's body is different from mine, it's just hard to accept that sometimes. I guess I just expected more inches because I feel like I have lost a lot more than I really did. My clothes fit better and most of my scrubs hang on me. I'm also fitting into my smaller sizes. I do feel great, so much stronger. It's amazing how much I have changed in 30 some days!! I love, I meant LOVE to eat, so It's crazy to me when my fiance wants to order out or make something that isn't healthy so healthy and I decline! I used to jump at the opportunity! Now I just tell him that I can't eat it and he'll be like "you can eat whatever you want as long as you workout". I stand my ground and still decline! I only have one cheat day a week and I don't even like to cheat then and sometimes don't. I'm sure I will sometimes. I just don't want all of my hard work to go to waste!! I'm proud of myself and the changes that I have accomplished! I never thought I would be doing this good!! I'm very grateful that you never gave up on me. I know I've told you that several times, but I truly mean it! Thank you for being a fantastic coach! There is no doubt that you are making a difference in my life.
I am so honored to be a part of her journey! This is why I became a coach! This is what I needed to hear today! Thanks you Kristin!
