Fail....fail...& fail again until you SUCCEED!

It's been a while since I've written a blog post. I'm not going to apologize because life happens. I know that I said that I was gonna be better at blogging and I never have been. I tried. I failed. It's kind of how life works but you just get up and you brush your shoulders off and you keep going....

So this is my attempt… Again… To keep going…

I wanted to write a post about something that was not fitness related. I kept thinking about how my blog is not about this topic that I want to write about. About how I just want to my blog to be about fitness. Health. But part of being healthy as I continually talk about on my Facebook page is being healthy from the inside. Mental clarity.

To be able to have mental clarity, you have to be willing to get down and dirty with yourself! Ask yourself the really hard question. Get honest with yourself. Don't be afraid to look those answers in the face.

I think it's helpful when you write things down because it literally is staring back at you. If you want something bad enough you'll take the time to dedicate your self to that goal. When you write something down and you can check it off there is no better feeling than checking off a goal! That then makes you a #goalcrusher

So when your to do List is longer than your list of goals that you want to accomplish take a minute put your to do list the side and write a different list!!!!

Write a list of things that you want to accomplish put a time and date as to when you'll reach them. Look at them everyday until you can check something off.. Who cares if you don't meet it. Who cares! Really you're the only one that you have to answer you. YOU!

If you're not meeting them in what you deem a timely manner then break the goals down further to smaller more attainable parts!

And maybe that's just it… Maybe we are afraid to answer to ourselves… Because we are so worried about letting ourselves down. A lot of times when I'm working with challengers or customers with beach body they don't want to commit because they're afraid to let ME down. But maybe they need to look in the mirror and really refocus on what they're worried about.

It's a hard reality to face, letting ourselves down, so we take the easy way out and we say that we are too worried about letting someone else down. But it is much harder to admit that you don't want to let yourself down. So instead of making goals and crushing them we make goals we let ourselves off the hook we continually do the same things over and over and complain and bitch and moan about being unsuccessful.

If you want to be successful, then. you're going to do the things that other people will not do.

It will take the time out of your day to work out. Meal plan. Personal development. Write goals down. Do something to better yourself from the inside out.

Get your mind right FIRST!

Life is way too short to get all worked up over not meeting a goal but if you set one and you work towards that at least you tried. And then you set a new date and then you can keep working towards that goal until it is crushed!

Do you want to be a part of something where you feel like you're surrounded by like minded people? Do you want to crush your goals? Do you want to have personal development? Do you want to make yourself better from the inside out? Ask me how! Fill out this Application  Join my next group! Trust me it's worth it! You can thank me later.

A day in the life of a coach.......

I have been so sporadic with my blog and it makes me start to think, why would I follow a blog that was sporadic? I wouldn't. I am inconsistent with my content and my posts. I have a million things going on at the same time, all the time. I am now a mom, soon to be employee again, a beachbody coach, a wife, daughter, friend and so much more. I wear a lot of hats. I can appreciate that. I appreciate other people who wear a lot of hats! I don't even like hats! LOL

I was thinking about my target audience. It must be for people who also wear a lot of hats. People who do a million things at one time all the time and want to know how to fit clean eating and fitness in there somewhere. So you there, with all the hats, ya YOU! I am writing this for you.

I think I was so worried about the way the blog looked and what was on it and how other successful coaches' blogs looked and I just would put any ol' thing out there. NOT. ANYMORE.
I am going to write about how I fit a healthy lifestyle into my already 8 million things on my TO DO list. So let's start today.

I bought a planner this weekend. Yes like an old school pen to paper planner so I can see things I need to do daily. I put blogging on there for twice a week. I am not sure what days yet but since I am doing this today, let's go ahead and go with Monday as one day and Thursday for another.

Here is what I anticipate my day looking like when I go back to work.   Wake up around 5:00 AM. Get my workout in, shower, get ready, check in with groups and customers on FB, feed baby, take baby to daycare, go to work, pick baby up from day care, get dinner together, put baby to bed, more beachbody stuff. It's a lot to fit in in one day but I know I can do it.  When you make it a priority, it just becomes one. It is non negotiable item in your life. The great thing about being a coach is being able to motivate others to do the same. If you want more information about how to fit it into your life, add me on FB, send me a message here or whatever means necessary!

New mom, New Shakeology recipe

Well....one thing I am definitely learning as a new mom is that even a perfectly laid plan and schedule don't always get executed as such. So the dinner plan yesterday was lettuce wraps inspired by P.F. Changs...well you see...the baby needed to eat around 5:30 PM and then my husband came home from the gym and he was pretty much hungry right away and then all of a sudden it was 6:15 PM soooo long story short, we went out to dinner. Our first outing as a family of 3! Thank goodness she had just eaten! It was a success! She slept through the whole dinner which was amazing but also nice to know we can handle leaving the house for dinner with her...for now that is! So we are going to try again with that recipe tomorrow because tonight we are having my mother in law's spaghetti!

In other news, I tried a new Shakeology recipe today and I am in love! I honestly didn't think I could like anything more than PB2 and banana with chocolate shakeology but this is a close 2nd or maybe even a tie! I used a capful of this caramel extract, about 4 oz of coffee, a few oz of water and almond milk and ta-da! I like to put it up there with Starbucks Caramel Mocha without all the garbage sugar, calories and fat!

Also, my Fit to be Fit fan page is back up and running on Facebook after a few weeks sabbatical with having a baby! I am trying hard to get to 400 likes and do my next giveaway! Will you help me? All you have to do is share my page or a post from the page and you will be entered to win some Beachbody Swag and shakeology samples! THANKS! Have a great HUMP Day everyone!

2.5 weeks postpardum and ready to workout

Hi there Friends! I am now 18 days postpartum and am feeling wonderful! I am anxious and excited to start working out again and get this body back to pre baby shape! I know, I know I need to take my time and not rush things says EVERYONE with an opinion! But I feel good so I figure it doesn't hurt to start somewhere right?
The baby was born May 1st, might I mention she was a week late, was 8lbs 2 oz and this is now : )

So we all know that getting in shape starts with getting our mind right FIRST, then assessing our DIET since 80% of getting fit and in shape is our FOOD intake and THIRD is the 20% portion which is exercise. I have added 3 new recipes to the Clean Eating Recipes page. Check out the husband approved dinner! That is what we had tonight and it was soooo good. I am getting in trouble with Pinterest. Well not trouble exactly but am finding great recipes and snacks to make while I am nursing. I will be sure to keep updating them as we try them. Tomorrow's dinner will be Lettuce wraps inspired by P.F. Changs so I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks for your patience with my lack of blogging during the pregnancy and moving from CO back to FL etc. I am officially back on the wagon! Tough Mudder Central Florida, Here I COME!

Tough Mudder in November for this new momma!

Here is a post I did from today on my Fit to be Fit Facebook page. I thought it was worth sharing and adding to the blog world since not everyone follows my Facebook page. I really am starting to understand what it is like to live with weight that you want to get rid of and can't. Just from being pregnant. I want to help and inspire others and can't wait to get baby girl out in this world so I can show her what a fit mom is like!

I have been thinking a lot about this pregnancy and how it went by so quickly. I have loved almost every minute of it. The almost being the part where the lower back pain was bad but luckily it came in waves and has since gone away. The one other thing that all women I am sure can relate to is the weight gain. I had the best of intentions of working out and sticking to my Beachbody programs while being pregnant and somehow that didn’t happen.

I let excuses get in the way, no matter how big or small, they might have been reasons, but they were ultimately excuses. Moving across the country being one of them.
At the beginning of the pregnancy it was like a fear that took over me about working out because I didn’t want anything to happen to the baby and then as the days and weeks and months flew by, all the sudden we are back in FL and about to have a baby in about 4 weeks! I will say though that having not worked out for this long now has put the FIRE under my YOU KNOW WHAT and I am getting antsy to do so. If you haven’t seen my posts about doing the #ToughMudder, I already signed up for November and that is my FITspiration. I am going to need all the muscle I can gain to get across those monkey bars, (the obstacle I didn’t even try last time)…I did the rest but for some reason that one just intimidated the crap out of me. (I even jumped in a vat full of ICE…darn #articenema )

But this time I am more than determined. And I want to live a healthy life for our baby girl so I can keep up with her. I was working on my weight loss goal when I found out I was pregnant and now it seems like I have further to go but might as well do it all at once I suppose.
The problem I most have is with food. I think that is everyone’s issue. I can get the workouts in no problem but the meal planning is so daunting to me. I have been trying to figure out which program I want to start with when I can get back into the working out routine per the doctor. I have #insanity #t25 #lesmillscombat #brazilbuttlift (and the master series) and I was thinking of maybe getting the #21dayfix to focus on the food portion but we will see. Or maybe doing a hybrid between T25 and Insanity and then add the Tough Mudder training in from their website and add running of course. Just going to have to see how it all pans out. So for this #motivationMonday, just know that I may be 8 months pregnant but I am motivated more than ever to get FIT!

The major thing I have realized with gaining weight is that being a beachbody coach and helping others get fit has so much more meaning now. There are so many people who start at this weight that I am at now. Who are discouraged and can't see the light at teh end of the tunnel. Maybe they want to have a baby but can't until they loose some weight...maybe they have the best intentions to START tomorrow, like I did while being pregnant. Who knows. The thing is, that I can''t imagine walking around at this weight and NOT being pregnant. It has given me a better understand of where people begin and now I can relate a little better to them.

If you know someone who might need a little extra attention paid to them with their health and fitness goals and would benefit from a challenge group, have them message me, I would be glad to help! Have a great monday friends! #askmehow

Let me know how I can help you!
